Alkonost, Gamayun and Sirin are the most beloved and respected mythical creatures in Russian folklore. You can find analogs of these birds in pretty much any culture. They represent deepest human emotions: joy, sadness, wisdom, love, lust, luck… and all of them appear as birds with a head and a chest of a beautiful maiden.

Folklore, as it is, is an anthology of human wisdom, coming from the depths of human history and passed on from generation to generation.

To me, this combination of wings, women and feelings in birds of paradise seems very logical. Every woman to feel alive has to have wings, big and beautiful, to radiate and spread the whole spectrum of emotions around, to make this world go round, to preserve life on Earth, to be happy….

This artwork is created with acrylic paints and acrylic inks on canvas. The canvas is stretched on a wooden frame and of excellent quality. Sides are painted, framing is not required and the artwork is ready to hang. A layer of varnish protects the artwork against UV light and dust.

The painting will be safely packed in a cardboard box and dispatched within 14 working days from Germany.
